Kale Chips

Have you ever heard of kale chips? Most likely yes… but if not and you’re a fan of cheat snacks…meaning healthy snacks disguised as unhealthy snack…then kale chips might be a thing for you!
Kale chips are nothing but lightly toasted kale.  They’re light and crispy and satisfy the chip craving.
I decided to try my hand at this clever treat and I was pleasantly surprised with the results! Hopefully you will be too!
Step 1
First things first: start with your kale (wash and dry...drying is very important!).
Step 2
Rip the kale into chip sized pieces. Like all thing you bake remember that the smaller the pieces the faster it bakes (let’s just say round one of my kale chips creation was a trial round).

Step 3
Next you have to coat your chips in olive oil.  I put my kale in a large bowl and drizzled the oil over it and then used my hands to make sure I coated each piece evenly.
TIP: put your kale in a zip lock bag with the oil and shake.  This will also evenly coat your chip pieces.

Step 4
Spread your kale out onto a baking sheet.

Step 5
Sprinkle salt and pepper all over your chips (or if you’re feeling creative and like a little heat like me you can use chilli flakes or any other dried spice).

Step 6
BAKE!
I put my chips in at 300 degrees for about 10-15 minutes. I would highly recommend you keep an eye on your kale because it can turn brown quite easily.
Step 7
Enjoy your healthy snack!
